Frequently Asked Questions and
Statements
A) What is the purpose of NotCanada.com?
Since most of the websites made by the Government of Canada and Canadian
immigration lawyers don't accurately reflect the reality of the country,
NotCanada.com has decided to provide an accurate view of the problems and issues
that exist in Canada for immigrants.
B) Why should we believe you?
It's upon the discretion of the reader. In this day and age, practically
anything and everything can be verified on the internet. We encourage this type
of research in the readers of our website. But we will offer this: we have lived
in Canada for well over twenty years. Have done an enormous amount of research
into what happens in this country behind the scenes. Have been through it all in
this country and have observed, discussed and listened to the stories of
numerous immigrants who have arrived here in the past decade.
C) Are you racists? Is that why you want to keep foreigners out of Canada?
Absolutely not. Racism is defined as: "a belief in the innate superiority of a
particular race; antagonism towards members of a different race based on this
belief."
We at NotCanada.com are completely and absolutely against this. We certainly
don't want to 'keep foreigners out of Canada'. Canada is a nation of immigrants,
and will always be. People have the right to go to any country in the world they
want to. We have a great sense of admiration and respect for people of other
nations. Our aim is to inform people abroad about the truth pertaining to
Canada, so that they will be able to make a well rounded, informed decision
about wether or not they should immigrate to Canada.
Some may think that we created this site, because we want to keep the jobs in
Canada for ourselves. This is not true, because there really are no jobs in
Canada to keep for ourselves. We have permanently left Canada! It's sad that
foreigners are much more likely to believe a fancy Government of Canada website
or a fancy Canadian immigration lawyer website, rather than believing the
honest, well intentioned, sincere and open advice of real people (like us) who
don't want foreigners to ruin their lives by immigrating to Canada.
D) It sounds like you are ungrateful with regard to what Canada has provided
for you in your lifetime.
Not true. We are very grateful to have grown up in Canada, during the years that
we did. There used to be a big difference between and Canada and the
eastern world back in the 1970's and 80's. We feel extremely blessed to have
been provided the educational opportunities that we obtained in Canada.
The tragedy however is that, in this day and age, in Canada, there is a lot of
education, but there are no jobs. This is true, not just for foreign trained
professionals, but even for graduates of Canadian Universities. Now, in 2005,
countries around the world are approaching or have already approached (or even
surpassed) the standards of Canada. So combined with the problems that exist in
Canada today, it makes no sense to immigrate to Canada in this new era.
E) You are just one source. Where can I read about the opinions of other
people?
Yes, this is available at the website: www.CanadaImmigrants.com and in
particular the forum at www.CanadaImmigrants.com/forum_2.asp
You can read the testimonials of hundreds of people from over forty countries
who have shared their opinions about Canada and have also written in detail
about their experiences as immigrants in Canada.
F) I realize the problems that exist in Canada for immigrants, but I still
want to move there for my children's future. Isn't that a good reason?
Unfortunately, the answer is no. There is no future in Canada for your children!
Currently, Canadians are leaving the country in record numbers. 150,000
Canadians leave Canada every year to move to the United States. Another 100,000
leave to work overseas in places in Europe, Middle East and Asia. Ever wonder
why the population of Canada never really grows? Canada is a country where 90%
of the land is uninhabited and uninhabitable. The current population clings to
the U.S. border in cities like Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal, places that have
no jobs and no opportunities.
G) OK, if Canada is not a good choice, which country should I immigrate to?
This is a personal decision. But we will give this advice: obtain a job first,
and then immigrate to that country where you have found your job. Don't
immigrate and then look for a job. That method can be disasterous. There are
many websites on the internet, that you can use to search for employment abroad.
Try monster.com , workopolis.com and many others. Please don't blindly get on an
airplane and fly over and land at Toronto airport, with the hope that
immigration to Canada will magically transform your life. It will not. Please do
your research. We wish you the very best, God bless you.
